We don't exist in isolation. Every person is shaped by the relationships, experiences, and environments that surround them. At the same time, we each have our own internal system made up of our thoughts, emotions, beliefs, values, and protective patterns.

You don't have to keep feeling stuck.

Maybe you're constantly overthinking every decision. Maybe your emotions feel bigger than you want them to, or you're exhausted from trying to hold everything together. You might be navigating anxiety, ADHD, family conflict, relationship struggles, or simply wondering why the same patterns keep showing up in your life.

If you've ever caught yourself thinking, "Why do I keep reacting this way?" or "Why does this relationship feel so hard?" you're not alone, and you're not broken.

Hi, I'm MaCae, and I'm glad you're here.

I believe therapy is about more than learning coping skills. It's about understanding yourself on a deeper level. Together, we'll explore the experiences, relationships, and patterns that have shaped who you are while building practical tools that help you create meaningful, lasting change.

What You Can Expect

My approach is warm, collaborative, and honest. I want therapy to feel like a place where you can be yourself without worrying about being judged or needing to have everything figured out.

Together, we'll work to:

  • Better understand the thoughts, emotions, and relationship patterns that keep you feeling stuck.
  • Build practical skills to manage emotions, improve communication, and navigate life's challenges with greater confidence.
  • Create healthier ways of responding that align with your values and the life you want to build.

I don't believe in one size fits all therapy. Every person brings a unique story, and I tailor our work together to meet your goals, strengths, and needs.

Why I Do This Work

Supporting individuals and families has been at the heart of my career for years, first as a behavior coach in an elementary school, then as a parent educator and now as a marriage and family therapist. I've had the privilege of walking alongside people through anxiety, family conflict, life transitions, and relationship challenges, and I've seen how powerful it can be when people begin to understand themselves with greater compassion.

One of the things I love most about marriage and family therapy is its systemic perspective. We don't exist in isolation. Every person is shaped by the relationships, experiences, and environments that surround them. At the same time, we each have our own internal system made up of our thoughts, emotions, beliefs, values, and protective patterns that developed for a reason.

That means therapy isn't about asking, "What's wrong with you?" It's about exploring, "What happened, what shaped you, and how is it affecting your life today?"

Together, we'll look at both the internal and external systems that influence your experiences. We'll work to better understand where certain patterns came from, recognize which ones are still serving you, and gently challenge the ones that no longer fit the life or relationships you want to build.

My work is grounded in evidence based approaches and tailored to each individual, couple, or family I work with. While we can't change the past, we can better understand it, respond to it differently, and create healthier patterns moving forward.

I also understand that some of these struggles are deeply personal. Living with ADHD, anxiety, and complicated family relationships has given me empathy that extends beyond what I learned in graduate school. While your story is unique, you won't have to spend our sessions convincing me that what you're are experiencing is real or difficult.

Imagine What's Possible

Therapy won't erase every challenge, but it can help you approach those challenges differently.

Imagine feeling more confident in your decisions instead of second guessing yourself. Setting boundaries without carrying overwhelming guilt. Feeling more connected in your relationships and better equipped to handle conflict when it arises. Understanding your emotions instead of feeling controlled by them.

Healing isn't about becoming a different person. It's about understanding yourself more fully, building healthier relationships, and creating a life that feels more peaceful and authentic.

I'd be honored to be part of that journey with you.
