Stephanie Mead, LMSW

Hello, my name is Stephanie Mead.  I absolutely love my job. I am energetic, compassionate, and supportive.

My goal is to help you get the most out of each session, by creating a strong therapeutic relationship and providing evidence-based services. I am experienced in individual, couple, and family counseling and have provided counseling services for clients from all over the world.

I have been living and working in Texas for more than two years. Before that, I lived in Europe for five years, where I worked as an international adoption specialist and volunteered with refugees. I have been married to my best friend for 17 years and I am a mother of four wonderful children. 

I have worked with a wide range of needs and mental health concerns, including but not limited to:

Qualifications:

I have a Master's of Social Work degree from Arizona State University. Additionally, I have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Wyoming where I graduated with honors. I am trained and experienced with Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Gottman Couple Therapy Methods. I am licensed in the state of Texas. License Master Social Worker #103735.

Hello, my name is Sarah Sherpa. I am a graduate student studying Marriage and Family Therapy at Northcentral University, currently completing my internship at Therapy for Families. I am an empathetic and sincere individual with a passion for assisting others in leading better lives. I believe that meaningful connections are essential for feeling understood and valued, and therapists play a pivotal role in shaping one's future. I take pleasure in getting to know people and helping them navigate challenging situations by tailoring my approach to individual needs.

I'm Wahida Talukder, a counseling enthusiast on a mission to make a positive impact in the realm of mental health. Currently, I am an intern with Therapy for Families, providing empathetic support to community college students, whether individually or in group settings. My passion revolves around assisting people in overcoming life's challenges, spanning personal, academic, and career domains. Armed with research-backed counseling techniques, I've garnered praise for my crisis intervention skills, cultural competency, and dedication to ethical counseling practices.


What matters most to me is connecting with individuals across the age spectrum, from 12 to adults. Whether you're navigating the teenage years or adulthood, I'm here to guide you through it all.

In my counseling toolkit, expect to find a mix of core counseling skills, solid interpersonal and communication abilities, therapeutic techniques, crisis management finesse, cultural competence, and a strong ethical compass.
