Stephanie Mead, LMSW
Hello, my name is Stephanie Mead. I absolutely love my job. I am energetic, compassionate, and supportive. My goal is to help you get the most out of each session, by creating a strong therapeutic relationship and providing evidence-based services. I am experienced in individual, couple, and family counseling and have provided counseling services for clients from all over the world. I have been living and working in Texas for more than two years. Before that, I lived in Europe for five years, where I worked as an international adoption specialist and volunteered with refugees. I have been married to my best friend for 17 years. I am a mother of four wonderful children. I have worked with a wide range of needs and mental health concerns, not limited to:
Qualifications:
I have a master’s degree is in Social Work from Arizona State University. I also have a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Wyoming where I graduated with honors. I am trained and experienced with Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Gottman Couple Therapy Methods. I am licensed in the state of Texas. License Master Social Worker #103735.

Hello, my name is Rachel Parker. I am a clinical mental health counseling student at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin and am interning for Therapy for Families. I am currently working as a school counselor at an elementary school and have 12 years of experience. While I love school counseling, I feel that I have more to offer. I am ready to expand my counseling experience to clinical mental health. My goal as a counselor is to provide you with a safe, empathic, and supportive environment to guide you on your journey to wellness. I have been married to my wonderful husband for 21 years and I am a proud mother to two fur babies (labs). I look forward to helping you on your journey to self-awareness and happiness.

I have a Master’s Degree in School Counseling from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin. I received my bachelor’s degree in Education from Wayland Baptist University. I have memberships with Texas Counseling Association, American Counseling Association, and Permian Basin Counseling Association.

Hi! My name is Amber Barker. I am a counselor intern in the graduate counseling program at the
University of Texas Permian Basin. I am a dedicated, hardworking, and energetic person who is passionate about working with children, adolescents, and adults. The world we live in presents many challenges and it is my goal to help clients navigate these situations successfully. I approach each client from a holistic, client-centered perspective. I received my bachelor’s degree in Education through Baylor University and will be graduating with my
master’s degree in Counseling from the University of Texas Permian Basin in May 2023. I have experience working with a diverse group of clients in the UTPB Counseling Clinic and with elementary age children as a school counselor intern.
