Hi! My name is Amber Barker. I am a dedicated, hardworking, and energetic person who is passionate about working with children, adolescents, and adults. The world we live in presents many challenges and it is my goal to help clients navigate these situations successfully. I approach each client from a holistic, client-centered perspective. I believe that change happens through having a good therapeutic relationship and by tailoring each session to what the client needs. Some issues I work with

I received my bachelor’s degree in Education through Baylor University and graduated with my master’s degree in Counseling from the University of Texas Permian Basin. I have experience working with a diverse group of clients in the UTPB Counseling Clinic and with elementary age children as a school counselor intern.

Lori Morton, LPC

Hello! My name is Lori and I contract with Therapy for Families. 

With a genuine passion for supporting individuals, couples, and families in their pursuit of mental and emotional well-being, I bring a wealth of experience and a warm, non-judgmental approach to my counseling. I firmly believe that each person is unique, and I tailor my therapeutic approach to meet your specific needs, fostering a trusting and collaborative relationship.

Qualifications

I received my bachelor’s in human development as well as my master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Brigham Young University. In addition to my clinical experience, I have been teaching future mental health professionals as adjunct faculty at Brigham Young University Idaho for over ten years.
