Chance Scott, LMSW

Specializing in working with individuals ages 14 and older, with a focus on depression, anxiety, trauma & substance use, and feeling lost and without purpose

You’re tired of pretending you’re okay when inside, everything feels heavy, dull, or just… off. You might wake up already exhausted, unsure if the day will bring anything different than the last. Maybe you find yourself zoning out, scrolling endlessly, numbing out with substances or distractions, wondering how life started to feel so directionless.

You feel stuck in a fog—burned out, disconnected, unsure of your next step, or whether it even matters.

The anxiety is constant, buzzing in the background like static—racing thoughts, self-doubt, and a fear of making the wrong decision. And when you try to push through it, the weight of depression pulls you back down. Some days, you just go through the motions. Other days, it feels like you’re drowning in questions about your purpose, identity, or if you’re wasting your potential.

I know how overwhelming and lonely that place can feel. But you don’t have to stay there. Healing doesn’t mean having it all figured out—it means having someone who gets it walk beside you as you take one honest step at a time.

You’ve come to the right place.

I’m Chance Scott, and I specialize in helping teens and adults who are feeling stuck, burned out, overwhelmed by anxiety, or struggling with substance use. If you’re feeling lost in a fog, exhausted from holding everything together, or unsure how to move forward, I want you to know you’re not alone. Whether you’re battling depression that makes it hard to get out of bed, using substances to cope with stress or numb out, or feeling like you’re living in survival mode day after day—your pain is real, and it deserves attention.

What to Expect in Therapy

Together, we’ll explore the deeper patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and I’ll help you develop tools to break free from cycles that no longer serve you. My approach is direct, compassionate, and collaborative—I focus on understanding your story, not just your symptoms. Whether you’re navigating burnout, working through the heaviness of depression, or ready to make changes in your relationship with substances, therapy can be a place to breathe again and build something new.

My goal is to help you feel more clear, confident, and connected to who you truly are.

Therapy with me is like pulling up a chair in a safe space where you can finally exhale. I’ll help you understand the why behind the racing thoughts, the sudden crying, the feeling of being “too much.” You’ll learn how to calm your mind and body, set boundaries with yourself and others, and trust your emotions instead of fearing them.

My training in substance use counseling, anxiety, depression, and trauma means I have the expertise you need and deserve when you’re trying to regain control of your life and mind. But at the end of the day, you want to know you’re working with someone who gets what it means to be a deeply feeling person, stuck in cycles of overthinking, anxiety, or emotional shutdown.

I blend structured techniques like EMDR with conversation that’s real, not clinical. You’ll walk away with tools—but also the confidence to use them.

What Transformation Looks Like

Through our work together, you’ll begin to feel calmer and more in control of your emotions. You’ll learn to communicate more effectively in your relationships and reconnect with the people who matter most. Grief will no longer feel like an insurmountable weight, but something you’ve learned to integrate into your life with compassion and hope.

Picture a future where you fight less, connect more, and feel empowered to handle life’s challenges with grace and resilience. You’ll move from feeling stuck in cycles of anger, conflict, or grief to experiencing greater peace, self-awareness, and emotional freedom.

Healing takes time, but it’s possible. Let’s work together to help you find your way forward.

So when we work together, you won’t just get a licensed therapist. You’ll get someone who truly understands what it’s like to feel overwhelmed and still show up for healing.

Let’s get started.
